The other account is of a European vessel, which was allocated toSt. Anne, washed ashore in Talawila; the captain of the vessel placed the image ofSt. Anne on a tree, and swore to return and build a church in that area if his business succeeded. appropriately so he prospered and came back to fulfill the promise he made by assembling a church and dignifying the image.
